The festival's project is now being rethought, heir to a tradition of excellence that it intends to pursue and expand: through its links with the great ensembles of Radio France (Orchestre National de France, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Choir and Choir School), and the special support of France Musique and France Culture; through its collaborations with the cultural actors of the region: Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse), its network of media libraries, the Fabre Museum, and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional.
The festival is committed to openness and musical diversity, oriented towards youth, transmission and the future. It strongly reaffirms that it is one of the essential stages of the cultural and musical peregrinations of the summer, following the example of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon or Orange.
It invests more strongly in Montpellier, its historic heart, thus reaffirming a unity of time and place to be more in tune with the life of the city and to establish meaningful partnerships. Promoting the festival, its 90 events of very high musical quality, accessible to the greatest number of people, also means promoting the destination Montpellier, a city of art and culture, 10 km from the sea.
